The SAM‘s plan: vaccinating all medics, care home residents and those aged over 80 by the end of March

Participating at a Seimas National Security and Defence Committee (NSGK) sitting, Ministry of Healthcare (SAM) Public Health Department chief Audrius Ščeponavičius offered insights on Wednesday regarding plans being made in relation to coronavirus vaccination. It has been announced that the first vaccination could be approved in the EU on December 21, which means that the first vaccines could reach Lithuania on Christmas Eve or Christmas. SAM representatives stated on Wednesday that there are plans to vaccinate the most vulnerable groups by late March.
