Three fourths of Lithuanians think education level is good

Three fourths of people in Lithuania are happy with the general level of education in the country, according to a survey by market and media research company TNS LT.

Asked to evaluate the general level of education of people in Lithuania, 74 percent said it is very good or fairly good. 77 percent positively evaluated their own level of education. People with advanced vocational education and higher education evaluated their personal education best with 88 and 97 percent respectively.

The survey also showed that 4 percent of people in Lithuania received their education abroad and 2 percent studied both in Lithuania and abroad.

Asked which country they would like to receive education in, if they had the chance to study again, over a half (54 percent) of people surveyed named Lithuania, followed by the UK (13 percent), Germany and the US (4 percent each). Respondents also named Russia, Denmark, Sweden, Spain, and Norway.

The survey of 500 people, aged 15-74, in Lithuania was carried out in May and June.
