Lithuania's new Minster of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevičius and Moldovan Foreign and European Integration Minister Iurie Leanca had a phone conversation on Tuesday to discuss Moldova's European integration.

"During the conversation, the ministers talked about Moldova's successful participation in the Eastern Partnership program, the progress of negotiations on an Association Agreement and visa-free regime with the European Union as well as preparations for the third Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius in 2013," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

Leanca also congratulated Linkevičius on his recent appointment.

"Linkevičius invited Moldova's vice-premier to come to Lithuania and to co-chair the fourth meeting of the Moldovan-Lithuanian bilateral commission for European integration during the bilateral visit," the statement said.
