The European Commission (EC) predicts that the fall in wages in Lithuania will be the biggest in the EU, reaching 8.2 per cent. However, such predictions are being disputed by Lithuanian economists, who believe the opposite will be true. According to them, the wages will rise because both minimum income level and public sector wages increased, while only a tenth of companies are considering budget cuts.
