Average household gas prices in Lithuania rose by 19.1 percent in the reporting period, which was the fifth highest increase across the EU.
The highest increases were observed in the United Kingdom (27.2 pct), Luxembourg (22 pct) and Belgium (21 pct). Romania was the only Member State to post a decrease (0.1 pct). On average, household gas prices in the EU increased by 12.6 percent.
Meanwhile, the household electricity prices in Lithuania edged up by 0.4 percent in the reporting period, versus 6.3 percent across the EU. A decrease was only recorded in Luxembourg (4.9 pct) and in Norway (4.8 pct), which is not part of the EU.
