IMF mission starts mission in Lithuania

A mission from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), led by Julie Kozack of the Fund's European Department, is starting its work in Lithuania on Tuesday.

The bi-annual mission will conclude on September 23, the Bank of Lithuania says in a press release.

The IMF's experts will analyze Lithuania's macroeconomic situation and will assess its economic development trends, the situation in its financial sector and budget and social policy measures.

Lithuania has been a member of the IMF since 1992. The Fund currently has 188 member countries.
