The mission would complete its work in Lithuania on February 11, the Bank of Lithuania said.
According to the central bank, the IMF’s experts will analyze Lithuania’s macroeconomic situation and will assess its economic development trends, the situation in the country’s financial sector and the implementation of the budget and social policy measures. Members of the IMF team are scheduled to meet with officials from the central bank, the Finance Ministry, and other public authorities, as well as representatives of the private sector.
Lithuania has been a member of the IMF since 1992. The Fund currently has 187 member countries.
