„The talks are rather complicated but we are coming closer to agreement on certain key points. As me and the Energy Minister said at today’s conference, we can obviously achieve results that would be very advantageous for Lithuania and make Visaginas Nuclear Power Plant (VAE) very attractive in terms of commerce... in particular, the power plant, once in operation, would generate electricity at very competitive terms,” Kubilius said in an interview with Žiniu Radijas radio station on Wednesday.
The Prime Minister is due to continue talks with Hitachi’s executives on investments in VAE in Japan next week. The discussions will center on government concession and shareholders’ agreements.
“These are important meetings,” Kubilius said.
