The panel green-lighted the acquisition by Altor Fund III GP at its Thursday’s meeting, the council’s spokeswoman, Palmira Kvietkauskienė, told BNS.

The details of the deal, which was announced at the end of January, had not been disclosed.

Haarslev Industries manufactures processing equipment for organic by-products, including from slaughterhouses and water purification plants. The company has about 600 employees. Last year, its turnover reached some 148 million euros.

Foreign companies usually need clearance from Lithuania’s Competition Council if they generate any revenues or own any subsidiaries in Lithuania.
