Lithuania’s exports grows 8.3 percent in 2012 imports up 6.1 percent

Lithuania’s exports rose by 8.3 percent in the first seven months of this year compared with a year ago, to 42.113 billion litas (EUR 12.21b), and its imports went up by 6.1 percent, to 47.155 billion litas, Statistics Lithuania reports.

The country’s foreign trade deficit narrowed by 9.1 percent, year-on-year, to reach 5.043 billion litas in January through July, according to provisional data based on customs declarations and Intrastat reports.

In July versus June, exports rose by 1.5 percent, to 6.471 billion litas, and imports went up by 5.2 percent, to 7.249 billion litas.
