Lithuania's exports increased by 14 percent last year

Lithuania ranked third among the EU's 27 member states in terms of annual export growth in 2012 and was second in terms of import growth, data from Eurostat showed on Monday.

Lithuania's exports increased by 14 percent last year compared with 2011, the third-highest increase after Greece's 17 percent growth and Latvia's 16 percent.

Lithuania's exports last year totaled 23.1 billion euros, slightly lower than Greece's 26.7 billion euros. Latvia's exports amounted to 10.9 billion euros. Estonia's exports rose by 5 percent to 12.6 billion euros.

Lithuania's imports last year increased by 10 percent to 25.1 billion euros, the second-biggest increase after Latvia's 13 percent. Estonia's imports were up by 9 percent.
