“We want to create a strong group for the production of food and other everyday-use goods in Eastern Europe. We think that its center will probably be located in Warsaw,” NDX Energija chairman, Ignas Staškevičius, said in an interview to the Verslo Žinios business daily.

NDX Energija, owner of NDX, had no investment plans for Lithuania and it was most interested in the Polish market, he said.

“Speaking about the perspectives of Novofruct, we also eye them in the Polish market in the first place. Now the company is mostly selling in Slovakia,” Staskevicius said.

NDX purchased Slovakia’s canned vegetable producer Novofruct in February.
