Based on the central public procurement information system, Lithuania plans to purchase mid-range helicopters, with the first expected to be delivered by April 2015, and the remaining two by September 2015.
According to previous reports, Lithuania plans to spend 50 million litas (EUR 14.5 million) of EU funds for one helicopter.
The call for tenders was issued on Wednesday, and offers are welcome by 25 June.
The Ministry of National Defense said earlier the search and rescue helicopters would be used for civil tasks.
