The shares in the TV channel were acquired on 29 October. In line with the terms of the deal, the company will have to invest 1.5 million laris (approx. LTL 2.4m, EUR 0.7m) in the TV channel over a five-year period.
Jurgelevičius, who now resides in Georgia, would not make any comments, lrytas.lt said.
Jurgelevičius’ work history includes employment with M-1, a commercial radio station, the Foreign Ministry, and the State Security Department. After moving to Georgia, he worked as an adviser to Georgia’s Interior Minister, and later, to Georgia’s Prime Minister. He now holds dual citizenship and resides in Tbilisi.
