According to the daily, microphones, panels and control units will cost about 1.5 million litas (EUR 435,000) and will be installed in the Hall of March 11, which will host the presidency events. The equipment should be operational by June 1.

Jonas Milerius, the head of the Seimas office, said the purchase was necessary as official EU events will require interpreting into 23 different languages. The equipment available in the March 11 Hall now allows interpreting into eight languages.

The old equipment should be moved to committee meeting rooms.
