"The Transport Ministry's representatives met with a delegation from Estonia and spoke about the establishment of a joint aviation company that could develop a joint project and live financially. We will most probably touch on this issue during my visit to Estonia," Butkevičius told LRT Radio on Tuesday.
"Perhaps, the best option - it has been discussed in the past - would be of all three Baltic countries having an agreement on the establishment of a joint venture," he added.
Butkevičius said that earlier discussions about a common Baltic airline had stumbled over the issue of which airport would be the main one. He believes that this issue could be solved.
The prime minister said that he supports Transport Minister Rimantas Sinkevičius' idea to establish a single company to manage all Lithuanian airports.
