None of those polled felt that they deserved a salary of less than 1,000 litas, and only 7.6 percent thought that they should be paid up to 2,000 litas.
Some 35.2 percent of respondents believed that they were worth a net monthly salary of 2,000 to 3,500 litas, and 40.4 percent, of 3,500 to 4,000 litas.
Some 15.4 percent thought that they deserved a net salary of between 4,000 and 10,000 litas, and 1.4 percent, of more than 10,000 litas.
Most respondents identified several reasons why pay is relatively low in Lithuania, but the most often cited argument was employers' greed.
Average gross monthly pay in Lithuania is currently to 2,175 litas.
