Petrol prices return to record high in Vilnius gas stations

Gasoline prices at three biggest fuel retail chains in Vilnius have returned this week to record highs first reached on domestic market at the end of March 2012.

On Friday, Lukoil and Orlen filling stations in the capital city were selling 95 gasoline, the most popular grade in the country, at 4.99 litas (EUR 1.44) per liter, up 0.07 litas from a week ago. Statoil raised its price by 0.11 litas, to 5 litas per liter.

Diesel fuel prices at Lukoil and Orlen rose by 0.07 litas, week-on-week, to 4.67 litas per liter. Statoil lifted its price by 0.13 litas, to 4.68 litas per liter.

The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) remained stable at all three chains, at 2.39 litas per liter.
