Laane replaces Mindaugas Glodas, who stepped in as Microsoft’s Health Industry Director in Central and Eastern Europe from 1 March, Microsoft said in a press release.
Laane has around twenty years’ track record in various IT businesses. Before joining Microsoft he spent eight years as IBM sales director in Estonia. He was appointed sales manager at Microsoft Estonia in 2004 and was promoted to CEO a year later.

Rain Laane replaces Mindaugas Glodas as Microsoft CEO for Baltic countries
Rain Laane, long-serving CEO of the Estonian unit of IT company Microsoft, has been appointed as Microsoft’s CEO for the Baltic countries, effective from Thursday.
