The new company was registered with the Register of Legal Entities on 25 July, Litgrid said in its interim report.
Energy Minister Arvydas Sekmokas told BNS that he would provide comments on Tuesday.
As reported earlier, in line with the EU's requirements for unbundling of electricity transmission operations, it is proposed that the Energy Ministry's shareholding in VAE be transferred to the Economy Ministry and that a new state-owned company take over the VAE-held shares in Litgrid.
The National Control Commission for Prices and Energy stated in late March that Litgrid had until 1 October to implement the unbundling plan. The electricity transmission system operator Litgrid and the distribution grid operator Lesto must have separate owners in order to meet the requirements of the EU third energy package.
VAE, which is controlled by the Energy Ministry, currently owns 97.5 percent of shares in Litgrid and 82.63 percent in Lesto.
