Snoras still dominates banking news in Lithuania

News about Lithuania's collapsed bank Snoras accounted for 68 percent of the overall news coverage of the country's banking operations in the first quarter of this year, while the number of media mentions of other banks fell by one-fourth compared with a year ago, TNS LT said on Monday.

The market and media research company carried out a communication analysis of banking-related news in January through March.

Snoras received 14,575 media mentions in the period between the start of the bank's crisis and April, almost a two-fold increase from 7,923 in the period between 2006 and October 2011.
