Danas Arlauskas said that companies had had their working capital frozen at the bank.

"Many directors say that they are anxiously waiting for the Bank of Lithuania to announce its further decisions," he said.

What companies fear most is that the central bank will decide to declare the troubled bank bankrupt.

"The funds would then remain frozen indefinitely," he said.
