Robertas Pazemeckas took over as acting CEO on 1 November, Žemaitijos Pienas reported through the NASDAQ OMX Vilnius Stock Exchange.
“My opinion about the system, which I wanted to implement in the company, diverged from the shareholders’ opinion. Our final targets were the same yet we ran into differences in our views about the measures that should be applied in the company. I took a kind of Western approach but there were differences in opinions about the approach towards the company’s evolution,” Vizgirda told BNS.
Algirdas Pazemeckas owned 44.63 percent of Žemaitijos Pienas shares in late June. Together with his wife, Danutė Pazemeckienė, he controlled a 50.88 percent stake. Other major shareholders included the customers of Sweden’s SEB (8.07 pct) and Klaipėdos Pienas (7.45 pct).
The dairy company is quoted on the Secondary List of the NASDAQ OMX Vilnius Stock Exchange.
