In calling the Latvians our rivals, not brothers, Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis seemingly appeared to be a bringer of ill omens, as if knowing what our Northern neighbours will decide regarding Astravyets Nuclear Power Plant. On Tuesday, the Latvian cabinet agreed that electricity from Belarus would be freely traded following Astravyets’ opening, which means that likely this power will reach the Lithuanian market.
