Matas Baltrukevičius. A struggle on the edge of the political abyss

In this year’s Seimas elections, we have as never before large a group of parties, which, based on survey data, are balancing on the threshold of entering Seimas. Having lost the voters’ favour once, it is truly difficult to regain it. The Lithuanian Farmer and Greens Union (LVŽS) is the only political power, which has been able to return to parliament after a break, once more becoming a political power with its own Seimas group. However, all other parties have thus far failed to recover after a blow from voters.
