Ramūnas Vilpišauskas. Four observations on two years of G. Nausėda’s presidency

From the very onset of his presidential campaign, President Gitanas Nausėda consistently emphasised his aim of establishing a welfare state in Lithuania, the core principles of which he publicly introduced after the previous Seimas elections. However, this aim of his is hampered by increasing discord with the ruling bloc and cabinet, who have been increasingly influencing foreign policy as of late, which the president himself faces increased responsibility lately.
