Ažubalis and Juknevičienė to represent Lithuania at Munich Security Conference

Lithuanian Ministers of Foreign Affairs and National Defense Audronius Ažubalis and Rasa Juknevičienė will represent Lithuania at the traditional Munich Security Conference, starting on Friday, representatives of both ministries have confirmed to BNS.

Mindaugas Lasas of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said there are no bilateral meetings on Ažubalis' agenda.

The conference will take place on February 3-5.

The Munich Security Conference is one of the most important events on international security policy, attended by the most influential foreign policy shapers, decision-makers, high-ranking military experts and observers.

Last year, Lithuania was represented by President Dalia Grybauskaitė while the Minister of National Defense represented the country in 2010.
