Labor Party's Viktor Uspaskich tops list of richest Lithuanian MPs

Every fourth member of the Lithuanian parliament own wealth worth more than one million litas. MP Viktor Uspaskich, founder of the ruling Labor Party, is the richest lawmaker, according to 2012 property declaration reports published by the State Tax Inspectorate in the Official Gazette.

Uspaskich and his wife Jolanta have assets worth 165.6 million litas (almost EUR 48 million).

Social Democrat Bronius Bradauskas came in second on the list of the richest MPs. He and his wife Danguolė are worth 26.8 million litas.

The combined wealth of liberal MP Kęstutis Glaveckas and his wife Rūta Rutkelytė stands at 13 million litas.

Labor MP Vilija Filipovičienė and her husband Ivan have almost 9 million litas in assets.

More than 30 other Lithuanian lawmakers have assets worth more than one million litas.
