Lithuania to spend 4.3 million euros on State Security Department headquarters

15 million litas (EUR 4.3 million) should be allocated for the construction of the State Security Department's new headquarters next year, according to Lithuania's draft budget for next year.

All in all, the SSD is set to get 81 million litas from the state budget in 2014.

The 15 million litas for the construction of the SSD's headquarters is included in the State Investment Program for 2014-2016.

The SDD was allocated 62.4 million litas in the 2013 budget.

The construction of the SSD's new headquarters should have been finished in 2007 but the project was stalled due to recession.
