Lithuanian data gathered by the Chinese: a lighter version of what has been going on in China for a long time now

The Chinese government-related company Zhenhua Data Technology gathered data on several hundred Lithuanians, an LRT investigation reveals. According to political scientist Konstantinas Andrijauskas, it appears that Beijing is thus trying to uncover core decision-makers who could have an influence on deliberations pertaining to questions related to Chinese national and economic interests. Furthermore, in China itself, citizen data has been being collected for decades now.
