“I have no doubts that the result of Stockholm arbitration is very important and favorable for us. It has showed once more that the government does not seek to respond to Gazprom’s ultimatums and is not afraid. On the contrary, it follows a consistent stance and invites all the time to address any issues through negotiations,” he said in an interview to Žinių Radijas on Thursday.
The minister noted that the Lithuanian public understood and supported the government’s view that the country needed an alternative to the natural gas supplied by Gazprom and the ultimatum claims of the Russian gas concern did not give the desired results.
