Lithuanian Prime Minister to take nearly four weeks of vacation

Lithuania's Prime Minister Andrius Kubilius is starting his summer vacation next Monday, his secretariat has informed.

It said the prime minister would be out of office on 23 July through 14 August and would return to work on 16 August, the day after the Assumption Day, which is a day-off.

Last Thursday, Kubilius said his vacation would include a week-long cycling tour and a few days of canoeing in Lithuania.

He also intends to interrupt his vacation on 4-5 August to go to London and observe the Olympic Games.

No government meetings are planned during the prime minister's vacation.
