"We have no information that would make us worried, however, in the last round of voting we only heard about the violations on the second day. Let's wait and see, there have been reports about the calm and organized manner of voting, the voting procedure doesn't take long, as there is merely one ballot paper, everything is going smoothly so far," Vaigauskas told reporters after the commission's meeting on Thursday.
In his words, reports have only been received about violations of election campaigning rules and acts of observers.
"I would say they are not the violations we had in the last round of voting," he added.
Vaigauskas also confirmed signals of suspected vote buying, adding that the reports were being verified by the police.
After voting in the second round of the parliamentary elections opened on Wednesday, the police received 22 reports about violations in connection to the elections, the Police Department said on Thursday morning.
The authorities have opened a total of 21 investigations into such violations.
23,600 people have voted early and at special post offices in Seimas run-off elections, Vaigauskas told BNS on Thursday.
15,600 people have voted early, slightly fewer than during the same period of the first round of voting when 19,400 people cast their ballots.
Meanwhile 8,005 people have voted at special post offices, compared to 7,300 during the same period of the first round of voting.
