Asked to specify what governance system Lithuania should have, 54.7 percent of those polled said it should be "presidential, with the president's mandate exceeding the powers of the Seimas."
Another 22.2 percent of respondents said a mixed system would be the best option "where the powers of the president and the Seimas are more or less equal," while 14.3 percent were in support of a parliamentary system "the powers of the Seimas are higher than those of the president."
Some 3 percent of respondents said Lithuania should have constitutional monarchy when the country is formally governed by a king.
The survey of 1,008 respondents between ages of 18 and 75 was carried out by Spinter Tyrimai (Spinter Surveys) on 15-22 June.
