Why does G. Nausėda emphasise the conservative welfare state and what is it like?

While the welfare state is most developed in the Scandinavian countries, President Gitanas Nausėda has highlighted Germany as what is to be pursued. Apparently, this country resolves conflicts of interests in an appealing form – national consensus. According to the president, Lithuanian society could not adapt to the Scandinavian welfare state model – with taxes rising, the shadow economy would only grow. So what is the German welfare state and how does it differ from Lithuania? In what areas can we expect initiatives from G. Nausėda if he is to follow the German example?
