Coronavirus could reach Lithuania any day now, advised to begin border control

With the coronavirus rapidly spreading in Italy, which is a favoured holiday destination among Lithuanians, the National Public Health Centre (NVSC) Vilnius Department head Rolanda Lingienė says that the first case could be spotted in Lithuania any time now. Vilnius University Department of Medicine professor Vytautas Kasiulevičius notes that roadside control should be implemented on the border. The specialists concurred that even before the first case of the disease has been recorded, there is a lack of communication in the healthcare sector.
