Lithuanian archbishop: We'll pray for people not to go to Lady Gaga's concert

President of the Lithuanian Bishops' Conference and Archbishop of Kaunas, Sigitas Tamkevičius, says the Catholic clergy will pray for people not to go to Lady Gaga's concert in Vilnius this summer.

"We share the opinion of Christians all over the world, and I would definitely not like to give publicity to this Mrs or Miss by issuing a statement. We'll pray for intelligent people not to attend as her concerts are deeply anti-Christian, and there's perhaps nothing more to say," Tamkevičius was quoted as saying by news website delfi.lt.

"It's normal that when it comes to a destructive concert like this which sends not a positive but morally destructive message, any person - be it Muslim, Catholic, any other Christian or Jew - cannot be in favor of it, only against," he underlined.

Famous for her shocking shows, Lady Gaga is scheduled to perform at the Vingio Park in Vilnius in late August.
