She received the Prize for her collection of essays "Tonight I Shall Sleep by the Wall," the Ministry of Culture said on Friday.
Radvilavičiūtė was awarded along with 11 other writers from European countries.
Her short stories, which can also be read as semi-autobiographical essays, mostly deal with everyday occurrences, seemingly insignificant experiences and perceptions.
European Union Prize for Literature is a European Union literary award established in 2009. The prize is awarded to writers from European countries that take part in the Culture Programme of the European Union .
Each year, 11 or 12 countries are selected to be part of the award.
Each winner receives 5,000 euros and their books are given support for translation funding, as well as promotion.
