PAP news agency cited presidential adviser Jaromir Sokolowski as stating that Komorowski and Grybauskaitė would discuss bilateral cooperation, Lithuania's presidency of the EU Council in the second half of 2013, including preparations for the Eastern Partnership summit to be held in Vilnius in November. The summit may see the signing of an EU-Ukraine association treaty.

Lithuanian Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius and Foreign Minister Linas Linkevičius will visit Warsaw prior to Komorowski's trip to Vilnius.

Over the past few years, the relations between Lithuania and Poland have been tense over differing views on the situation of national minorities.
