21:00 THE MIND OF PLANTS

The Sinis protected marine area and the Island of Mal di Ventre is the subject of this documentary that takes place in the Eastern part of the Island of Sardinia. In the company of Angelo, a Sardinian diving instructor we go to discover the underwater flora and fauna of the waters around the Island of Mal di Ventre, a place of splendid tropical colors. We then dive to visit the shipwreck of the "Vaporetto": a ferryboat that went down in the Second World War, which is quite well conserved and is home to various types of fish like the groupers and also to sea slugs. We then go to visit the Cabras pool and watch the traditional fishing methods of the flat-headed mullet, a species from which can be extracted the famous "Sardinian Gold".
22:00 ALIEN INVADERS!

Alien Invaders is a documentary special that throws three young, but experienced, hosts into the world of invasive species of animals, fish, birds, insects, viruses and plants to create television mayhem. The show looks at invasions of aggressive non-indigenous animals around the world. Pacific lionfish are eating their way through the Caribbean, Burmese pythons are infesting the Everglades, African killer bees have worked their way north from Brazil to Utah, Asian carp are now swimming in the millions from New Orleans to Chicago. These and many other "alien invaders" are the villains (and stars!) of our show.
23:00 AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 ISLANDS - POLYNESIA, THE GODDESS OF NATURE

A visit to the Island of Tahiti together with a local called Alphonse who, as well as acquainting us with the famous canoe race Hawaiki Nui Va’a, he also takes us to the central market of Papeete and to visit inland Tahiti - with it green, lush hills and mountains and to show us the gifts of this land and the beauty of the Polynesian sea. We then go to Raiatea, the biggest island of French Polynesia, where on board a catamaran we dive to explore the Polynesian sea beds and sail along the coast to arrive to Taputapuatea, the largest Marae in Polynesia. The Marae are places of worship where the Gods are honored, and they are also important cultural, political and social centers, where they used to prepare for war, elect their leaders and also carry out human sacrifices. Finally we go to Motu Nao Nao to watch the sun go down, a small island, dotted here and there with coconut palms, lapped by the waters of the lagoon and surrounded by a ring of coral reef where the strong waves break over it, creating an amazing
23:30 AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 ISLANDS - SOUTH SEA GIFTS

On board a catamaran, we discover several islands in the Society Island archipelago, in Polynesia. Of the Island of Raiatea, hilly and volcanic, we explore the Faaroa River, the only river that you can sail down in Polynesia that is bordered by lush vegetation and fruit trees. A narrow natural passage separate the Island of Raiatea from the Island of Tahaa, both are surrounded by the same coral reef. It is on the Island of Tahaa that Brian and his wife show us their vanilla plantation and the way that it is cultivated as well as their banana, papaya, mango and rambuthan plantations. Remaining on Tahaa we go to discover the very special process of pearl cultivation of the famous Polynesian Black Pearl both on land and under the sea. A real miracle of these South Sea Islands.
